One time I gushed all over Leela’s swim coach, explaining that her miraculous mermaid skills changed my life forever because she had taken Leela from not putting her head under water to swimming across the pool by herself in one month! I don’t think she really understood that I’d been holding my breath poolside for 8 years. Lol…but this is what she said.

Honestly that took me back. … I had never given myself credit for those days where as a mom I simply showed up & that’s about it.
